Buzz Russell President Christian Music Association | CHRISTIAN MUSIC ASSOCIATION INC APPOINTS BUZZ RUSSELL AS PRESIDENT New Momentum and Growth Ahead for the Christian Music Industry CARTHAGE, TX (Monday, February 9, 2026) -- The Christian Music Association, Inc. announced today the appointment of Buzz Russell as President and Director, marking an exciting new chapter for the organization and the Christian Music industry. "We are happy to announce the appointment of our new Christian Music Association, Inc. President and Director, Mr. Buzz Russell. With decades of experience in the music industry, particularly in broadcast radio, Buzz brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our organization," says Christian Music Association founder and CEO Linda Wilson. Wilson continues, "Buzz has a proven track record of success in driving growth and profitability in his role in the music industry as a radio broadcast personality and program director. He is a three-time Texas Country Music Awards recipient, earning 2023 Terrestrial Station of the Year and 2021 and 2025 Broadcast Personality of the Year. We are confident his leadership will elevate the Christian Music Association to new levels, and we are excited about what lies ahead.” As President, Russell will oversee all aspects of CMA’s business operations, including membership development, organizational management, and the expansion of new projects and programs designed to benefit CMA members and the Christian music industry as a whole. Russell will, of course, maintain his role as Program Director at KNES Texas 99 in Fairfield TX, while focusing on innovation and strategic growth, expanding CMA’s presence across all styles of Christian music. New initiatives and resources will be developed to support Christian music artists and industry professionals in building their brands and advancing their businesses. The Christian Music Association exists to advocate for, energize, promote, and support the Christian music industry in every style and role, while reaching the “Now Generation” for Christ through the power of music.
